What is coaching?
I regard coaching as simply helping you initiate new conversations in your
work, life and business - enabling you to think differently and move in new life
affirming directions. One of the nicest pieces of feedback I ever received
was when someone said to me “This doesn’t feel like coaching, but a great
conversation with a professional friend.”
So many times I have personally
benefited from coaching and conversations with significant people, and my
life has gone off in a whole new direction. I am thrilled and honoured to
do that for you too. I think we can all benefit from people who have
forged ahead of us and can show us the way, we benefit from having someone
to be accountable and who sees greater possibilities than we do. And sometimes
we just need someone to show us how to implement our ideas.
What can you expect from a session?
Well, no two sessions are ever the same. I don’t have a fixed process that
I put people through. I would simply ask you for some information about yourself
beforehand, what you need help with and what you would love to have achieved
through the coaching session. Then I custom create your session around your
particular issues and needs.
What is my authority and expertise?
Many of my coaching insights come from what I have personally experienced as I
have created my own life’s work. Having made the major life change myself
from corporate life to a creative and entrepreneurial life, I know the territory.
I have struggled with so many issues myself and have learned ways of breaking through
them, so can short cut your journey for you.
I speak with authority because I have probably
been where you are or at least understand where you are. I have faced thousands of fears
and obstacles myself. I also have twenty years experience in helping people clear their
blocks to creating heartfelt success in their work and business so they can be the best
they can be. You’ll find me very authentic and real. But perhaps most importantly of all,
I can help you find your underlying sense of purpose that makes it this meaningful to you.
How many telephone coaching sessions are you likely to need?
Although I can’t answer that exactly, in my experience most people have just one or two
sessions. Because I also write, speak around the world and broadcast, I have no interest or
need to pin you down to committing to lots of sessions. And having said that, there are some
people who have had a relationship with me over a number of years.
What can I most bring to our conversations?
I have a great ability to home in your strengths and your possibilities, and to
see the best in you that you may not be able to see yourself yet. I can also help you
recognise your issues, the ways you are thinking that are blocking you and the places
you are playing small. I am able to do that quite quickly. I also care a lot. My passion
and joy is helping you liberate your own talent and potential, and when I can help you
do that, I feel fulfilled and know that I am living my purpose too. When you have a better
life, not just you benefits, but those you love and care for benefit too, and all those you
come into contact with. The better is a better place for you being the best you can be. I
am cheering you on.
How will life be different after our conversation?
Whilst the conversations themselves are very rewarding, the obvious question is how your
life will be different as a result of us talking? And obviously I can’t tell you exactly,
but I know often even a 30 minute conversation can change the whole direction and trajectory
of your life. New vistas can open up to you, you can feel more inspired about yourself and
the possibilities open to you. I often find that problems people have struggled with for
years suddenly begin to fall into place. I can also point you at resources that will help
you learn new skills, and implement the ideas we talk about.
